What is an Escape Room?


So are you New to this whole "Escape Room" Craze? Well, we would love to welcome to your new hobby. Be Warned, this is activity is more dangerous than street level heroin. 

A brief history lesson on escape rooms: 

The game itself has been developed as a software game by Toshimitsu Tagaki in Japan in 2004. These games are still available to play today online and are generally much harder to solve than you usualy real- life escape room. Popular games like Crimson Room were ground breakers to be sure. 

The first actual escape room has been built up by japanese company SCRAP in 2007. So like many fun, mental activities this game also originates from Asia. In Europe Budapest has been one of the first cities that have started to develope these games. Cheap basements and labor has propelled the industry. "An escape room, also known as a "puzzle room" or "escape game", is a physical adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms. Escape rooms are inspired by "escape-the-room"–style video games. Games are set in a variety of fictional locations, such as prison cells, dungeons and space stations, and usually the various puzzles and riddles themselves follow the theme of the room."
